Type locality: "Tasmania"; (Hooker & Harvey 1847: 404) Holotype: R.C. Gunn; TCD; (Womersley 2003: 108) Notes: According to Womersley (2003: 108) the holotype is labelled "original specimen from herb. Hooker" and is from Georgetown, Tasmania.
