Nomenclatural note
Invalid: nomen [INA]; however, the name could be validated by the illustrations (Art. 38.7 "For the purpose of Art. 38.5, prior to 1 January 1908, an illustration with analysis (see Art. 38.9 and 38.10) is acceptable in place of a written description or diagnosis."). If the name were valid it would also be illegitimate as it is a superfluous substitute name; Woelkerling & Irvine (1986: 67) concluded, "Finally, Ellis (1768, p. 407) mentioned the name Corallium anglicum, citing Millepora calcarea Pallas in parenthesis and referring to his previously published figure (Ellis, 1755, pl. 27, fig. C). Ellis did not use Corallium anglicum elsewhere in the 1768 paper and it appears to be a provisional, substitute superfluous name for Millepora calcarea Pallas." - (06 April 2017) - M.D. Guiry
