Type locality: Torpoint, Cornwall, England; (Holmes 1873) Lectotype: Holmes; undated; BM; (Holmes 1873: pl. 12, fig. 1)

General Environment
This is a marine species.

Thin , membranous, much branched, pale rose fronds, to 50 mm long. Branching pinnate to subdichotomous, apices lobed. Margins fringed with minute adherent processes. Frond monostromatic when young, with network of microscopic veins.

Subtidal on rock.
