According to some authors, Chaetomorpha indica may be conspecific with C. antennina (Bory de Saint-Vincent) Kützing (see Silva, Basson & Moe, 1996, p. 764). - (11 May 2006) - G.M. Guiry

Recorded by Nazamuddin (1991: 190) from Libya, but Cormaci, Furnari & Alongi (2014: 315) consider it a taxon excludendum from the Mediterranean flora. - (22 July 2015) - M.D. Guiry
