Type locality: Recent, intertidal sediments, Harwich, England; (Index Nominum Algarum) Holotype (named): Geol. Dept., Univ. Sheffield; (Index Nominum Algarum) Notes: There seems to be some confusion about type locality. In ING, Rosslare, Ireland is cited but in INA, Harwich, England is cited.
