Nomenclatural note
Because it has two syntype localities (Red Sea and West Indies) and nobody seems to have chosen and taxonomically determined the identity of a lectotype, it is impossible to be certain as to what it applies to. It is unlikely that the same species occurs in the Red Sea and in the Caribbean but until a lectotype is selected, the application name remains uncertain. One could argue that as the epithet "wrightii" is used and the material was collected by Dr William Wright (1735-1819), almost certainly in Jamaica, the material from the Caribbean should logically be the lectotype, but this is not mandatory. - (20 July 2016) - M.D. Guiry
