Description
Chloroplast single, rarely double, making about five turns; vegetative cells I8-22 x I25-250 µm, male gametangia I8-22 x 27-54 µm, female 25-35 x 45-65 µm; zygospore oval, brown, with scrobiculate
mesospore, 30-35 x 52-62 µm.
Habitat
Freshwater ponds.
