Taxonomic note
This species was distributed by Harvey (1857a: no. 26) in his Ceylon exsiccata under the name Nitophyllum marginale, without a description. A specimen bearing this name in Sonder's herbarium was described by Kützing (l.c.) as Aglaophyllum marginale. - (20 December 2009) - M.D. Guiry
