Type locality: Psurorunuma, Tomakomai, Hokkaido Island, Japan (42º41'22"n, 141º50'10"eE (Kim & Shim 2014: 955). Holotype: feshwater pond. Chungnam National University CNU025426 (permanently preserved material from strain Psurononuma 100609J) (Kim & Shim 2014: 955, fig. 2A). Notes: Representative DNA sequences: GenBank KF744078.
