Type locality: Golfo Dulce, Costa Rica (Taylor 1945: 159). Holotype: W.R. Taylor no. 39-106; 26 Mar. 1939; Abundant on the rocks, much admixed with sand, associated with Centroceras clavulatum and Gelidium pusillum. Hancock Foundation (Taylor 1945: 159).
