Type locality: Port Alfred, Cape Province, South Africa (Silva, Basson & Moe 1996: 113).
Origin of species name
Adjective B (Latin), pertaining to the Cape, usually the Cape of Good Hope, South Africa.
According to Silva et al. (1996), the name Scinaia furcellata has been misapplied to this species by Delf & Michell (1921: 102) (fide Papenfuss, l.c.)
