Taxonomic note
The status of this entity is uncertain. According to Maggs & Hommersand (1993: 228) British specimens are “misidentifications of other species”. No examination of the type (from Torquay) seems to have been undertaken (M.D. Guiry, 15 June 2002). - (11 May 2006) - G.M. Guiry
