Neotype locality: Brionische Inseln [= Brioni Islands], Adriaterhavet [= Adriatic Sea], Croatia (Woelkerling et al. 2005: 276). Neotype: Kuckuck; 11.vi.1895; 16-25 m. TRH B6-2067 (Woelkerling et al. 2005: 276).
