Type locality: "Hab. ad oras Novae Hollaadiae. (Hb. Agardh et mus. Paris.!)"; (Agardh 1841: 5) "Lectotype": LD; 49502 (De Clerck 2003: 185) Notes: De Clerck (2003) notes that lectotypification follows Womersley (1967: 216). Silva, Basson & Moe (1996) recommend consulting Womersley (1967: 216) for more information on the lectotype of this species. Womersley (1987: 212) notes that the type was collected by Bunbury.
