Type locality: "On the western coast of New Holland. Mr. Menzies." [King George Sound, Western Australia] (Turner 1809-1811: 22). Holotype: BM (Womersley 1987: 351). Notes: Silva et al. (1996: 716) recommend consulting Womersley (1967: 252) for more information on the type locality of this species.
