Type locality: In the Sea. Swan River colony, New Holland" [Perth, Western Australia]; (Hooker 1844: pl. DCXIII) Lectotype: Mr. Preiss; TCD; 0016578, (Huisman 2018: 608) Notes: Huisman (2018: 608) notes: Three Preiss specimens are in TCD, but 0016578 is clearly the plant illustrated in the protologue (pl. DCXIII, fig. 1) and the obvious lectotype. The others are TCD 0016576 and 0016583 and can be regarded as isolectotypes."
