Type locality: "ad oras occidentales Novae Hollandiae” [Western Australia], J.A.L.Preiss; holo: MEL 1005920; (Sonder 1845: 53). Holotype: J.A.L.Preiss; between Dec. 1838 and Jan. 1842; MELU 1005920 (Huisman 2018: 429). Notes: Slides from Holotype in AD-A 56309. Huisman (2018: 429): "Preiss collected in the south-west of Western Australia from Dec. 1838 to Jan. 1842."
