Adjective A (Latin), with rings (Griffith 2004).

Distributional notes
This species was introduced into the Mediterranean (Verlaque et al. 2015: 275) via the Suez Canal, being first found in Syria around 2003. It currently (2015) is found at a few localities on the Levantine coast. - (6 Nov 2015) - M.D. Guiry
