Status of name
This name is of an entity that is currently accepted taxonomically.
Lectotype locality: Lendrup Røn, Limfjorden, Denmark (Veiga, A.J., J. Cremades & I. Bárbara (1997): 133). Lectotype: L.K. Rosenvinge no. 3807; 22 August 1892; "paa luftbl. og løvet af [= on air bubbles and leaves of]Fucus vesiculosus". TRH A15-964 (Woelkerling et al. 2005: 133). Notes: Silva et al. (1996) recommend consulting Chamberlain (1983: 376) and Rosenvinge (1909: 27) for further information regarding the lectotype locality of this species.

Adjective (Latin), margined (Stearn 1973).
