Type locality: Guernsey, Channel Islands (Dixon & Irvine 1977: 100). Provisional lectotype: on stipes of Saccorhiza polyschides (epitype) Lyle; November 1912; BM Slide No. 3679 (Dixon & Irvine 1977: 100).
Garbary (1987: 105) records this species synonym of Audouinella lorrain-smithiae.
Known only from Devon, England and the Channel Is. (Dixon & Irvine 1977, p. 100).
This is a marine species.
