Type locality: St Mary’s Island, Whitley Bay, Northumberland, England (Dixon & Irvine 1977: 112). Lectotype: Original illustration in the absence of material (Darbishire, 1910: figs 1, 2). (epitype) (Dixon & Irvine 1977: 112).
Known only from the type locality in Northumberland, England (Dixon & Irvine 1977, p. 112).
This is a marine species.
