Nomenclatural note
"Cette nouvelle espèce de Fucus fut récoltée pour la première fois par J. Chalon (1) en 1904 aux environs d'Hendaye, à Andagorria. Chalon
l'avait considèrée comme une forme très réduite du Fucus limilaneus Montagne qui lui-même n'esl qu'une forme rabougrie du Fucus spiralis L.(Fucus platycarpus Thuret)." (Feldmann 1941: 143). [This new species of Fucus was first collected by J. Chalon (1) in 1904 around Hendaye, in Andagorria.
