Taxonomic note
The identity of this species is unknown. Woelkerling et al. (2008) consider it to be a synonym of Pachyarthron cretaceum, but that species, with a type locality of Unalaska Island, Alaska is a synonym of Corallina officinalis (Hind et al. 2014). - (17 August 2014)
