Adjective (Latin), canaliculate, with a longitudinal channel or groove (Stearn 1973).

General Environment
This is a marine species.

Habitat
Thalli attached to rock have been found in intertidal cave pools and at depths of 10 m, 15 m and 18 m (Womersly 1996:177).
