Asia: South China Sea (Phang et al. 2016).
This species was introduced into the Mediterranean (Verlaque et al. 2015: 235) via the Suez Canal, being first found at Sinai around 1944. It is now widely distributed on the Levantine coast. - (6 Nov 2015) - M.D. Guiry
