Type locality: "Von den Tami-Inseln im Huon-Golf, Deutsch-Neu-Guinea," [Tami Island, Huon Gulf, Papua New Guinea]; (Heydrich 1897: 4) Lectotype: [Missionary] Bamler; date not determined; PC; (Woelkerling 1998: 331) Notes: The type in PC, designated by Verheij (1993: 39), may be missing. Woelkering & al. (2005: 44) say that it is in the General Herbarium.
