Type locality: In oceano pacifico septemtrionale (Postels & Ruprecht 1840: 18). Type: LE (Hommersand, Guiry, Fredericq & Leister 1993: 110). Notes: Type locality: Kamchatka, Russia (Hughey et al. 2001: 1093).

Adjective (Latin), literally, different fruit.
