Type locality: See Note (Silva, Basson & Moe 1996: 442). Notes: Suhr (l.c.) indicated that this species was based on material from False Bay. Falkenberg, however, considered as the original material six packets of speciments from Algoa Bay, labeled Polysiphonia dubia in Suhr's hand and housed at Berlin (B).
