Type locality: "Hab. Balatoni nádas helle mellett." [Lake Balaton, Hungary]; (Francé 1894: 94) Notes: Hungary, Balaton Lake, near Lelle town. "Holotype: France 1893, pl. 2, fig. 4. Epitype: Figure 3e designated herein that supports the holotype (France 1893, pl. 2, fig. 4)." (Lukomska-Kowalczyk & al. 2019). Hungary: Plattensee (INA). Hab. in Rohrsümpfen bei Lelle (Francé: German version).
Origin of Species Name
Adjective (Latin), round like a ball, globose, spherical (Stearn 1973).
