Phyllophora diversifolia Suhr
Type locality: South Africa [between the Omtendo (Umtentu) river, Transkei and the Omsamculo (Umzimkulu) River, Natal] (Drège 1843: 155).
According to Papenfuss (1940a: 214-216), the name Polyphacum smithiae has been misapplied to this species by Barton (1893: 175); the name Ptilophora spissa has been misapplied to this species by Barton (1896: 197) and Delf & Michell (1921: 104)
This is a marine species.
